Enjoy the freedom of a peaceful holiday in the beautiful Devon countryside. Walk public footpaths over fields, through woodland and following peaceful meandering rivers, whilst enjoying the plants and wildlife.

There is plenty of fabulous fishing here in Devon. With day tickets available from local Fly Fishing Clubs, the West Country Passport Scheme and well stocked lakes and reservoirs. The Upper Teign river being only a 10 minute drive away.

With the Coarse fisherman in mind, there are at least five Course lakes with in a 20 minute drive of the cottage, one of which is on the edge of the village of Cheriton Bishop.

Both the South coast and North coast of Devon being within easy reach, even the sea fishing world can be taken on. Why not have a go at Fly Fishing for Sea Bass.

Walk, cycle or horse ride over the Dartmoor National Park, or take a leisurely drive through Devon to explore the beautiful villages, gardens and National Trust properties. This is an excellent base for touring Devon and much of Cornwall and Somerset, with good roads in all directions. The A30 being only 2 miles away and the M5 and A38 only 10 miles away.

The Eden Project in Cornwall is an excellent day out and only a 75 minute drive away.
