Nestling between the high moors of Exmoor & Dartmoor, the area has a wealth of rural life, history, churches, folklore and hidden villages with country inns, just waiting to be discovered.

The 'Tarka Railway Line' passes through the nearby village of Yeoford, where you can leave your car behind and travel to either Exeter and Exmouth in one direction or Barnstaple in the other, passing through wooded river valleys and a patchwork of fields.

Exeter University Campus is around 10 miles (20 minutes drive) should you wish to stay in the countryside when visiting your son/daughter.

South Pitton Farm Cottage is located just a few miles from Cheriton Bishop, just off the A30.From the M5 head west on the A30 trunk road, towards Okehampton. Turn off the A30 at Cheriton Bishop (Woodleigh junction).

Travelling into the village take the second turning on the right (just before shop) signposted to Yeoford.

Follow this road for half a mile and turn left at the cross roads (Four Ways Cross).

After a mile turn right at Southcombe Cross junction signposted to Hittisleigh Mill.

After a mile turn right at the cross roads (Pitton Cross).

The cottage can be found on the left after about 400yds, the entrance being another 100yds along.
